Nordisk Village Puglia is in an excellent position: it will allow you to combine the discovery of the territory with relaxation in the pool, and wine tastings with swimming in the sea.
In the surroundings you can visit the beautiful historic center of Manduria. We also recommend a visit to the nearby Archaeological Park, with remains dating back to the Messapian era including the Plinian spring.
The surroundings of Manduria are also a protected natural area since 1997. The Cuturi and Rosamarina woods are green oases of oaks mixed with pines and Mediterranean scrub.
Next to the dunes of the homonymous beach it is worth seeing the Salina dei Monaci, with the remains of the ancient Torre delle Saline, built to guard the ancient salt factory. The Benedictine monks (who gave the salt its name) settled in a convent of which today remains a frescoed chapel called "of the Madonna del Carmelo".
Beach lovers will find their paradise in Porto Cesareo, with its white sand and crystal clear waters surrounded by holm oaks and eucalyptus trees, reachable in 30 minutes by car from the Nordisk Village.
Alternatively, Nordisk Village Puglia is only 3,5 km from the beaches of San Pietro in Bevagna. Here you can find both free beaches and equipped lidos.
To visit the surroundings there are bicycles for hire.
How far is… Manduria: 5,3 km, Brindisi: 53 km, Lecce: 59 km, Taranto: 42 km.
We recommend a car to visit the area, alternatively there is our shuttle available (for a fee, to be booked in advance) to reach the airport or the center of Manduria.
