Give yourself and your children a day in this gorgeous park, the green heart of Rome. Inside you will find:

  • Il Giardino del Lago: rent a boat (€ 3 /person for 20 minutes, children up to 110cm € 1.50) and see closely the Temple of Aesculapius, located on an island in the middle of the lake;
  • La Casina di Raffaello: a small kingdom for children, which propose exhibitions, events and workshops dedicated to children up to 14 years old.
  • Casa del Cinema: during the summer it offers theatre and open-air cinema, and is located near a nice playground.
  • A water clock: you will find it in the Pincio area, and it is a curious construction that will surely arouse the interest of even the youngest. It is a wooden clock, accessible via a bridge that crosses a small lake surrounded by exotic plants, and works thanks to the movement of water.

  • Fill your backpack with sandwiches or some tasty take-away food, so you can enjoy a relaxing picnic in one of the many green and shaded areas of the park;
  • The easiest way to visit the park is by foot. If the children are tired, you can rent a bike or a rickshaw at one of the authorized points.
  • There are 9 entrances to Villa Borghese, which link the park to the Pinciano, Salario and Flaminio districts. The most convenient entrance from the campsite is Piazza del Popolo (Flaminio underground station).
